Introduction
PinBuilds is a Pinterest content automation platform. Generate AI-powered pins from articles, Shopify products, or Etsy shop products and schedule them directly to Pinterest — all from one dashboard. No AI API keys or technical setup required.

All tiers include AI-powered text generation (Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite), image and infographic generation for website profiles, image pins for Shopify/Etsy product profiles, direct Pinterest scheduling, CSV export, and a 7-day free trial. Customers see monthly pin limits rather than internal rendering costs.
Account Setup
- Sign Up: Use your Google, GitHub, or email account.
- Create a Profile: Choose the profile type, add the matching URL, and select your niche. Each profile is tied to one source.
- Connect Pinterest: Go to Settings and connect your Pinterest account via OAuth. This lets you schedule and publish pins directly.
- Subscribe: Choose a plan that fits your volume. All plans include a 7-day free trial and support extra generation packs.
- Start Creating: Generate AI pins from the Dashboard, connect Pinterest in Settings, and schedule directly.
Profile Types
Choose the profile type that matches the content source you want to promote:

Product stores are locked to Image pins because most product listings need product-focused lifestyle or catalog visuals. Infographics work best for articles, tutorials, comparisons, and educational content where the AI has enough structured material to turn into a useful graphic.
For Etsy, create the profile with the shop URL, not an individual listing URL. Listing URLs are supported during generation after the shop profile is selected, but the profile itself must identify the shop. How It Works
PinBuilds has two main workflows:
AI Pin Generation
Generate pins automatically from articles or product URLs:
- Text Generation: Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite reads your articles and writes SEO-optimized pin titles, descriptions, keywords, and overlay text.
- Visual Generation: Website profiles can use Image, Infographic, or Mix. Shopify and Etsy profiles use Image pins automatically. Runware generates first, Fal.ai backs it up, and a final provider can take over if both are unavailable.
- Text Overlay: Toggle text overlays on or off. When enabled, a short title is rendered directly on the pin image. When disabled, clean images are generated without any text.
- Schedule or Export: Schedule pins directly to your Pinterest boards, or download as CSV for manual upload.
WordPress Plugin
Install the PinBuilds WordPress plugin for fully automated pin generation. Once connected with your API key, every new post you publish automatically gets AI-generated pins scheduled to Pinterest — no manual intervention needed. See the WordPress Plugin docs for setup details.
AI Agent Tools
Connect PinBuilds to Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code/GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Hermes Agent, Gemini CLI, ChatGPT Apps, and other MCP clients through the PinBuilds MCP endpoint. Agent tools can check usage, inspect profiles, check article status, generate pins, and schedule approved pins using your PinBuilds API key. See the MCP & Agent Tools docs for setup templates.
Direct Pinterest Publishing
Connect your Pinterest account in Settings to publish pins directly. PinBuilds handles OAuth, token refresh, and board management. You can schedule pins across multiple boards with configurable timing.
