Use PinBuilds in Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants

Overview

Connect PinBuilds to your AI assistant and ask it to make Pinterest pins for a blog post or product, schedule them to your boards, or tell you how many pins you have left.

You sign in with your PinBuilds account once. You do not need to copy an API key. The assistant uses your normal PinBuilds settings, monthly pins and Pinterest schedule.

Server address for every assistant:

https://pinbuilds.com/api/mcp

You need a PinBuilds account (7-day free trial). To schedule pins, connect Pinterest to your site in Settings first.

Claude (claude.ai, desktop and mobile)

1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
2. Name it PinBuilds and paste the server address.
3. Click Connect and sign in to PinBuilds when the window opens.

Custom connectors depend on your Claude plan. When PinBuilds is listed in Claude's connector directory, you can add it from there instead.

ChatGPT

1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors. Custom connectors may require developer mode (under Advanced).
2. Create a connector named PinBuilds with the server address and OAuth sign-in.
3. Sign in to PinBuilds when asked, then enable PinBuilds in a chat.

Menu names change from time to time. When PinBuilds is listed in ChatGPT's app directory, you can add it from there instead.

Claude Code

Then run /mcp in Claude Code and choose PinBuilds to sign in.

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or the project's .cursor/mcp.json), then sign in when Cursor shows Needs login for PinBuilds:

Gemini CLI

Gemini CLI opens the PinBuilds sign-in the first time it uses the server.

What to ask

• "Make 3 Pinterest pins for https://myblog.com/easy-lasagna and schedule them to my Dinner board."
• "Which of these posts don't have pins yet?" (followed by a list of URLs)
• "How many PinBuilds pins do I have left this month, and which boards can I post to?"

Making pins uses your monthly PinBuilds pins, and scheduling creates real Pinterest posts. Good assistants ask before doing either.

Disconnect

Remove PinBuilds from the assistant's connector or MCP settings. To end an assistant's access on the PinBuilds side right away, write to contact@pinbuilds.com.
